#167 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

Can you believe that the smallest guy in the world at that time, Gen. Tom Thumb, lived in such a large home??? As some of you have noted, we are learning a lot about these surrounding towns.

Middleborough (Mariann, Michelle, Mike P., Mike Di., Michael K., Phil, Milt, Joyce, and Mrs. Beth) was my location! It has a very inspirational memorial park next to its Town Hall. All of the wars in which we fought are so honored. Check it out if you are ever in the area. . .

Speaking of honors, here is one town with two very moving tributes. . .

At 22.5 ft. this statue is dedicated to the ONLY undefeated heavyweight champion boxer!

A sad day for this town's fire department when 13 men were lost fighting a fire in the Strand Theater back in 1941. And, then we have this testimony to great construction - the Central Fire Station built back in 1884 and still functioning!

One of the most impressive town halls,  architecturally, is this 1892 structure. I took several shots to try to get it all in!

And, finally, Thomas Edison, yes THE Thomas Edison built an Electric Illuminating Power Station back in 1883 just a few hundred feet from that Town Hall.

I'm exhausted from this whirlwind stop, please find me. . .
