Shoot Eleven - "Custom Job!"

Merry Ol' England! Let's see, we had Jim, Milt, Peyton (all the way from NC now), Elaine, Joani, Michelle, and Mike Di. coming up with the correct country!

"Custom Job"

For the past thirty-one years (give or take one or two years) I have been driving to Stowe, VT to enjoy a week of timeshare on the Von Trapp properties. More often than not our arrival coincides with the annual VAE (Vermont Auto Enthusiasts) Car Show. Upwards of eight hundred vehicles have gathered here. I particularly like to drive through town and see the classics parked at some of the motels, restaurants and even at the local church for Mass! On Saturday afternoon around 3PM, Mountain Road is closed for the Parade of the Classics! A few years ago I discovered a spot where the background is not a distraction and the vehicles pass at warp speed of five miles per hour! Actually, when I am standing there with my tripod, a vast majority of the drivers STOP and pose!

Where in the World?

Here are some interesting facts about various countries of the world. Just where would I be?

In 2011 its population was around 52 million.

This country has three (3) has three capital cities, Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Pretoria as well as eleven official languages, including Zulu, Afrikaans, Xhosa and English!

This country has the largest economy of any African country.

Its coastline stretches over 2500 kilometres (1553 miles) in length.

The first human heart transplant was performed in a Cape Town hospital in 1967.

Cave paintings have been found here that date to around 75,000 years ago.

The most popular sports are football (soccer), rugby and cricket.

Interesting Thought. . .

Average is the best of the worst and
the worst of the best.
~ Unknown.

Leaving on a humorous note, I hope!

Whatever happened to Preparations A through G?
