#158 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

Yeh, enough of the Bridgewaters! FYI - I am probably the ONLY person ever thrown OUT of prison!

So we had Mariann, Peyton, Phil, Michelle, Mike Di., Michael K., Milt, Mike P., Joyce, and Carol finding me in Bridgewater. That was quite an impressive Science Building on the BSU campus. Hope to be able to use that huge telescope to take some pix!

East? West?? South??? Perhaps, North??? Which way to go. . .

Opened its doors in 1834 as a female seminary.

Noted educator Mary Lyon was hired to create the seminary's curriculum.

In 1912 became a Women's College - going co-ed in 1988.

Built in 1858 by Architect, Stephen Earle

Massachusetts Golf Museum - didn't realize we needed a facility THAT big to honor our state's golfers!

So where am I? Fore. . .

#157 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

Well, my Stony Brook followers (Tony, Peyton, Ann B., Pete, Vicky, and Mike Di. ) were thrilled to see me in Wrentham! And a few others (Carol, Mariann, Michael K., Phil, EMO, Michelle, and Milt) knew the town as well - probably due to the Outlets!

Just a hop, skip, and a jump to. . .

Spent fourteen years in the Big House at OCCC! And, enjoyed every minute I was there!

Town academy first opened its doors in 1822!

New Science Building and its impressive observatory!

New Jerusalem Church listed Swedenborg as its religious affiliation. Had to look this one up!

There should be enough hints above to help you find me. . .

#156 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

Okay, we did have a couple of you lost in SE Massachusetts and one responder gave a general area but the vast majority (Mike P. EMO, Milt, Michael K., Phil, Carol, Michelle, Pete, Tony, Mariann, and Mike Di.) of you found. . .

Can you believe a Temple of that size will only be used for special events????

Moving on - literally and figuratively - all three of these historic structures were in this town's center. . .

1853 Cook's Hall

1863 Trinity Church

1896 Old Fiske Library

No much help I know but I have faith you'll find me!

#155 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

You guys - EMO, Michelle, Phil, Mariann, Carol, Peyton, Joyce, Tony, Michael K., Mike P., and Mike D.  are good! Welcome back Ann B!! Easton or North Easton was the town.

Got your thinking caps on?

First Congregational Church aka "Stone Church" erected in 1915.

Site of an iron "manufactory" that was in operation until 1873.

One of two milk bottles in the area - the other, which is smaller, is at the Children's Museum in Boston. This 50' structure was built in 1930!

What would a visit to this town be without a return trip to the largest Thai Temple outside of Thailand? I was told it will only be in use for special services!

Well, there you go, so where did I go?????

#154 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe"

Well, you certainly know your Bridgewaters as EMO, Mariann, Michael K., Peyton, Carol, Steph, Vicky, Phil, Tony, Joyce, and Mike Di all found me taking pictures around East Bridgewater!

I will NOT be in Bridgewater for this one, so lots of luck. . .

This is the "feel good ministry" where I having been spending two days each week for the past ten years. My Brother's Keeper is a Christian-based charity that brings the love and hope of Christ to those we serve.

Almost across the street from MBK is this wonderful area called, "The Sheep Pasture." They have animals for the kids to see and trails to walk.

And, lastly there is this building. We have seen similar ones if you were following April's challenge of Architecture. It is the Ames Free Library and it is even more magnificent looking on the inside!

So do you know where I am now????

#153 - Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

Fine start, most of you (EMO, Mariann, Peyton, Micheal K., Carol, Phil, Joyce, Mike Di., and Tony) figured out that I hadn't left home yet! And, yes, our judges encourage the use of Google so as to make their jobs easier.

I'm leaving WB and heading out to here. . .

A new senior center was built using the former Sachem Rock Farm which was founded in 1649!

The Grace Bible Church is situated at the town's common.

Its public library is the current home of the Hockomock Digital Camera Club.

So where am I on Day #153???

#152 - "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

June brings another set of challenges my way. In theory, it sounds doable, in practice, I'm not sure so bear with me.
For "Where's Waldo, er Joe" I am hoping to post images about one of my neighboring towns and some facts about it. Since most of you are not from this immediate area, the use of Google is highly encouraged. Let's get started. . .

* Keith House (1662) claimed to be the oldest parsonage and garrison house in America.

*Friendship Playground - I actually helped to build this local favorite (okay, built may be a stretch as I did help to spread the mulch and carry a few sections).

*Public library where my camera club, Hockomock Digital Photographers debuted back in 2007. We got too big for here and had to move on. . .

So, there you have it. At least one of these images should solve the riddle, "Where's Waldo, er Joe?"

HINT: Keep in mind that I live in eastern Massachusetts so the towns will be in this region.
