# 244 - "Reflections. . ."

Ghost Train

Featured on my business card, I have had more comments on this shot than any one other image. It all came down to being in the right place at the right time. I was staying at a B&B in northern California waiting for the call to breakfast when I saw this train from my balcony. I had ample time before the coffee would be poured, so I went off to investigate the train. The “Skunk Train” as it is called was loading passengers for its morning run. I arrived just in time to catch them stoking up the boiler and firing up the engine. The steam continued to build as I clicked away. The end result appeared to have the look of a ghost train coming through the fog. With my post-processing program, I was able to highlight several parts of the locomotive.

Thanks for the continuing support from Mike P., Joyce, Joani, Michelle, Phil, Deana, EMO, and Pete. With a response from JR of UK, my blog has crossed the pond and gone international!! God to hear from you, Jonathan.
