Airabelle of Creamland
Whimsical!
The Albuquerque Balloon Festival had been called
the largest producer of images than any other event in the world. And, seeing
Airabelle here, you can understand why. Albuquerque is the Mother of all
balloon festivals as some seven hundred fifty balloonists gather to soar. Because
it is Albuquerque, a vast number of the special shapes, like Airabelle, make the
effort to come. Here, you are allowed on the field as the balloons ascend!
At least fifty of the seven hundred were of the class,
Special Shapes. They are always the crowd pleasers.
Be forewarned if you go,
check the schedule as there are some days when there is little activity. The
aforementioned Special Shapes ascend at the end of the week of the festival – weather
permitting!
Capa had it spot on - the pictures were there and there and there
– everywhere even up and down!
