Currituck Stairway

Typically when one shoots a lighthouse stairwell, it’s the spiral view. Currituck’s circular staircase was somewhat obstructed by landings that allowed visitors a chance to rest from the exhausting climb. After shooting about fifty different angles of this staircase, I saw this simple composition of just a section of the steps.

In my digital darkroom, I played with color versus B&W – both had their advantages. As you can see here, monochromatic won out.

Good to hear from Michelle, Phil, Mrs. Vicky, Joani, Michael K., Michael P., Tony, and Mike D. Someone who will go nameless (Michelle) saw Bob Hope in the Bonus Image. I saw Joe Camel on the right side looking up!
