Stockholm - Carol, Milt, Joani, Mike D., and Peyton knew it was Stockholm while Jim settled on Sweden.

I had an opportunity to try some light painting with a few club members. We chose the area around the Easton Public Library for this artistic shoot.

Sherri brought along her bag of lighting magic. Phil, Sherri and I took turns creating the colorful designs like the one above.

Obviously I was NOT the one one the stage with the lighting sticks!

is one of the most popular cities in the world that tourists visit every year.

is also called the most romantic city in the world

this lovely city has many flowering public gardens and many consider it to be the most beautiful city in the world because of its wonderful architecture.

the city is filled with historic associations and is home to one of the world’s most famous museums, the Lourve (that should clinch it). There are also many other museums and monuments to see.

is well-known for its culinary reputation and has many highly-rated restaurants that visitors can enjoy during their trip. 

Final clue: is known world-wide as the “City of Lights” because it is truly transformed at night when the lights turn on. And this, two of the most popular sites to visit are the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Shoot Sixteen - Plymouth Lobstah Crawl

Miami - heard from Milt, Jim, Joani, Peyton, Mike, Michelle, and Carol.

On a more personal note - big day for me as I should be in the midst of having my hip replaced by the time you read this. Sorry, no photo highlights!

"Plymouth Lobster Crawl"

I'm sure you have seen other objects featured in various parts of the country. Generally, local businesses will contract an artist to capture their establishment in the sculpture caricature.

I have seen cowboy boots in Cheyenne, globes on the Boston Common, Adirondack chairs in Ontario, cows in Montpelier, submarines in Groton, CT, and others.

Well, Plymouth - America's Hometown - settled on lobstahs, that would be lobsters to the rest of the world. My wife and I tried to find as many of the twenty-plus that were situated around the town. One had been vandalized and was removed; another was stolen; and three others we never found!

Above are nine of my favorites! Who are they, you asked?

fourteen small islands make up this capital city.

is known to have the largest Royal Palace in Europe. The city also has a large number of museums.

the Skargarden fascinates one and all. It comprises of an astounding 24,000 islands, islets, and rocks. This archipelago is indeed, one of the most beautiful in the world. If you want a closer look, you can take one of the several ferry lines that will give you a tour of the archipelago.

the Gamla Stan is also of immense interest. Known as the Old Town, it is located right in the heart of the city.

a ticket to the Royal Palace will give you access to the Royal Apartments, the Treasury, the Tre Kronor Museum, and Gustav III’s Museum of Antiquities.

part of the Nordic Sea Hotel, the Absolut Ice Bar maintains a degree of minus five throughout the year. If that is not exciting enough for you, then the fact that drinks here are served in glass-sized hollow ice cubes will definitely blow you away. The bar table is made of a clear ice block, while the tables and chairs inside are made of ice harvested from the River Torne!

Shoot Fifteen - Marshfield Fair

Dublin as was the guess for most of you (I will not name names): Michelle, Elaine, Tony M., Carol, Peyton, Joani, Jim, Mike Di., and Milt.

Still at the Marshfield Fair with a group of other photographers - actually, I am working the fair solo as all of others disappeared! Well, I have always wanted to try to capture a spinning Ferris wheel at night - so what better place than here and now?

I set my tripod up directly in line with the middle of the wheel. It is odd how a tripod can intimidate the fair-goers. Many walked around my vantage point; others asked who I worked for; while a few stopped and waited for the image to appear. 

The only disappointing thing was a row of lights that were out which caused a gap in the shot. I was hoping the attendant would get up there and fix that but, no.

Well, another item off my life list!

This should help to clinch it: Its port is known as the "Cruise Capital of the World", has been the number one cruise passenger port in the world.

Shoot Fifteen - Marshfield Fair

Were you thinking the Big Apple??? Of course you were!!!
Right, Milt, Jim, Michelle, Carol, Elaine, Peyton, Tony M., Joani, and Mike Di.?

Still at the Fair. . . talk about fixated - look at this youngster! He was determined to take home the prize despite going up against a couple of his elders. I think he's played this before or has one of these at home because he easily beat out the competition.

situated near the River Liffey

though the city traces its origins to the First Century BC, the city is said to be established by the Norse in about 841 BC.

the city is known for its beautiful architecture, most of it dating back to the 17th century.

home to the famous creator of Dracula, Bram Stoker. You can go through a chilling description of Stoker’s life at the Bram Stoker’s Museum.

If you can’t get enough of this historical city, then go to Kilmainham Gaol. This is the place where prisoners of the 1916 Easter Rising were executed.

Grafton Street is the most famous shopping street here. You can visit the Powerscourt Centre, a shopping centre set inside a restored 18th century town house.

No brainer clue: home to literary giants such as George Bernard Shaw, W.B.Yeats, Jonathan Swift, Samuel Beckett, and Oscar Wilde. Visiting the city’s Writers’ Museum is a must for all bookworms.
