Shoot Ten - "First Light on Lotus"

New Zealand. . . Kiwi responders were Michelle, Elaine, Jim, Joani, Mike Di. and Jeff the W.

"First Light on Lotus!

I did make a second visit to the Paradise Gardens site and met up with two photo-mates from Stony Brook. We were also part of a larger contingent from a Boston camera club. Unfortunately, they would not be considered nature photographers as they were lighting smoke tablets on the actual petals to get a certain effect. They didn't seem bothered by the fact that they were burning the leaves!

Where in the World?

Here are some interesting facts about various countries of the world. Just where would I be? (a gimme this week!!!)

The population of this country in 2011 was around 53 million.

Famous home-grown scientists include Charles DarwinMichael Faraday, Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking among many others.

Just a few influential authors but perhaps the most well known is William Shakespeare, who wrote classics such as Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Hamlet.

Football (soccer) is the most popular sport but others such as cricket and rugby have large followings.

The Summer Olympic Games have been held here 3 times, in 1908, 1948 and 2012.

Interesting Thought. . .

The best way to make your dreams come true is
to wake up.

~ Muhammad Ali.

Leaving on a humorous note, I hope!

If it's true that we are here to help others,
then what exactly are the others here for?
and this one,

Why do croutons come in airtight packages?

Aren't they just stale bread to begin with?
