"Buttermilk Falls

Shoot Fifteen involved one of my favorite themes to photograph - waterfalls! I joined up with a meet-up group to check out the falls in the Ithaca area of New York. For four days we traveled from one falls to another to another - five different waterfalls in all.

I was fortunate to share this experience with two women from the South Coast - Sue and Nancy.

Buttermilk was the first of the five areas we shot.

Where in the World?

Shoot Fourteen - "Holy Cross Fall Festival"

France - mais oui!!
I know it was too easy - thanks Michelle, Milt, Peyton, Mike, Joani Elaine and her Grandson, Christopher. Mariann added a few French flags to try in an attempt to brown-nose the judges!

"New Best Friends"

For the past four years I have been the Holy Cross Events Photographer for my parish in Easton. I show up with camera in hand and take pictures which will be posted on the parish website. I'd rather do this than be assigned to a ride or an activity. This way I have freedom of movement around the parking lot and make my own time. Because I have a large camera and a flash, people give me space as they think I am a professional photographer - little do they know!

I watched these brother-sister twosome walking around being the typical siblings. They were constantly annoying each other UNTIL. . . big sister won a prize at one of the activities. Her candy necklace soon drew the attention of pesky little brother. For the next fifteen minutes he did not let her get more than six inches from him! Needless to say as soon as the prized neck piece was devoured, they went back to being a brother-sister act again.

It is the westernmost country of the European mainland.

The Netherlands or Holland! My panel of judges ruled that "Holland" was an acceptable response! So, well done Jim, Elaine, Peyton, Milt, Mike, Michelle, Joani, and first time responder, Mariann!

"Pensive Meghan"

The last of my Meghan Shoot was this one. I chose this pose as, once again, she was in the water after the sun set! I know she had to be chilled - we were just standing and shooting!!

Madagascar, the Island and not the movie!
Heard from Elaine, Joani, Jim, Mike, Michelle, Doris, and newcomer,Steve T! And, a last minute response from Peyton - he was waiting for Matthew (the hurricane) to leave the area!

"Meghan Submerged!"

That water was cooling off as the sun set BUT Meghan was the trooper. As Jeff asked for different angles and poses, she cooperated.

For me the earrings, the necklace of pearls and the smile made the shot!

"Meghan Backlit"

A most unique opportunity arose when a member of my camera club mentioned a model shoot on an island!

It was an adventure as the member with the boat had to row the crew and equipment out to his motorboat and then row us onto the island. He made three trips each times - a total of twelve short but exhausting transports!

Back to the shoot - Meghan was the perfect subject. She was enjoying the opportunity to pose around the small island. This one in the tall dune grass was my favorite.
