Dec 4th WB Museum

Mardid - well Milt, Mike, Tony, Peyton and Pete checked in!

"Traffic Signals of the Past"

Somebody had the vision to take a 1915 fire barn and convert it into a town museum.

After several months of clearing out the clutter of the past and sprucing up the interior and exterior of the building, the West Bridgewater Museum emerged!

Located behind the town hall, the eighteen hundred sq. ft. structure houses an 1942 Chevy fire truck (on loan from Chief Len Hunt), memorabilia from former restaurants, town departments, and a very encompassing milk bottle collection - about 38 in total.

The private stash of WB milk bottles represented the many (I counted about fourteen) diary farms that called West Bridgewater home.

I am not sure of the hours of operation for the museum at this time.

Where in the World?

Better get out the atlas as this year I will be featuring some of the more famous cities of the world! Here are some interesting facts about one of them. Just what city would I be visiting?

Federation Square and the New Quay provide you with a welcome break from the bustle of this city

take in the scenery as you ply the Great Ocean Road. This is a two hundred mile route that takes you through the country’s beautiful coastline.

as the cultural capital of the country, it is home to a number of cultural institutions - from film and feature film to television, impressionist art, and dance, this city is proud to be a cultural birthing place.

This city is the sporting capital of the country and home to the largest sports stadium in the country, also considered to be the world’s largest cricket ground.

there are three major international sporting events are held in here every year: one in tennis, another for horse racing, and the third Formula One’s Grand Prix.
